Program introduction
Cultural Experience Program
- Purpose: To learn about Japanese society and connect with genuine Japanese culture. This program also provides students with opportunities to communicate with Japanese students.
- Timeline: 2 weeks Mid-August to Mid-September.
- Open to women only.
- The number of applicants and the cost will be decided according to the contents of the MOU.
- This program will start from the summer of 2022.
- Accommodation: 10 nights + trip
Guest Houses in Arimatsu and Narumi. Weekend homestay at students' houses.

Experience Japan Program:
Communication with SLADE students, Cooking, Tea Ceremony, Flower Arrangement on campus (or in Arimatsu).
Local Cultural Experiences:
Arimatsu tie-dyeing, Nagoya/Inuyama Castles, Festival(s) held during your stay, Kimono/Yukata experience, Trip to Kyoto & Nara (2 night’s stay), Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology Guided Tour.
Exchange Program
- Purpose: Improve your Japanese language skills and acquire academic knowledge and experience regarding Japanese society and culture. You can obtain 16 to 19 credits per semester at OU.
- Timeline: 6months to 1 year.
- Open to women only. Japanese ability required.
- The number of applicants and the cost will be decided according to the contents of the MOU.
- This program started from the 2018.
- Accommodation: OU offers exchange students a room in an apartment.
We are looking for overseas partner universities to participate in “Japan Study Program” at Ohkagakuen University.
